Design by Deborah: These Post-Apocalyptic Pixies absolutely grow out of my book Sapience: The Moment Is Now where three key characters from three critical inflection points of Earth’s fall over the climate cliff tell part of their story. Each character must learn how to survive in a changed and dangerous world due to unmitigated climate change that is beginning right now in 2024, the most crucial year when the whole of humanity could have acted to pull back some of the coming disasters but was too distracted by their collective fate. And this is where Pixies come into play. Pixies are ancient; indeed, they are Primordial Images stored deep in the subconscious of every living human being for they are creatures of our psyche. Different cultures and different times have called them different names, but their cultural significance is the same across time, cultures, and languages. And these Post-Apocalyptic Pixies are no different. They represent the struggle to survive in chaotic, uncertain times and highlight, even inspire, the beauty of nature even in during times of adversity. They often band together forming small tribes who help each other survive and create a strong sense of loyalty and camaraderie among themselves. If you have a Post-Apocalyptic Pixie in your pocket this fall, consider yourself extremely lucky for these Pixies can be exceedingly picky about who they hang out with or help.
Note: Pixies were created using Genolve + Midjourney/Dalle to imagine what Pixies might evolve into and look like if the world falls over the climate cliff this century as explored in my storyline of Sapience.
